LARGE CNC Details

Structure:
All extrusion is 80/20 mostly 1″ x 3″ series 10, purchased via the 80/20 store on Ebay.
The beam across the rear of the gantry is 80/20 series 10 2040 2″x 4″
Uprights are 18 inches tall, 6 inches wide and 1/4 inch thick.
The upright braces are Series 15 Bearing Profile
Table top is 3/16 inch MIC-6 6061-T6 aluminum with a 2″ x 2″ 1/4″ 20 grid pattern with center line down the middle.
There is a 1/8″ sheet of HDPE underneath the top to act as a damper and to keep trash from falling through the bolt holes.
The router mount is from the now defunct – K2CNC

Linear Motion:
Y axis linear rails are NSK G9V145 that are @29.75″ long and 15mm wide with 2 trucks per rail.
X axis linear rails are IKO that are @23.75″ long and 12mm wide with 2 LWLG12B trucks per rail
Z axis uses an all-in-one THK KR33 actuator with integrated ballscrew that has @4″ of travel. I also have a longer travel KR33 that is a direct bolt on replacement if I need more Z.
X axis ballscrew is THK, It has 26″ of thread and is @ 3/4″ in diameter.
Y axis ballscrew is unknown, it has 24″ of thread and is @ 1/2″ in diameter.

Electronics:
Hybrid stepper motors from Schneider-Electric
Parallel breakout board C10 is used to connect the PC to the stepper drivers
Power supply for stepper controllers is 120vac input 48vdc output at 12.5 amps
Spindle is a Bosch 1617 router (25,000 RPM)
All the 22mm push buttons, E-stops and button enclosures are from Automation Direct
Turck proximity sensors – My model number is 4613425 I think the new part number is S4613401
Solid state relays came from Ebay and Amazon

Miscellaneous Information:
Machine Travel is Y 22″, X 19.5″ and Z 4″ or more inches depending on the actuator used.
Cable trays are IGUS
Flexible air hose is by Loc-Line
